Bass Pro Shop hosts free summer activities

Bass Pro Shop in CrossIron Mills mall in Balzac will be hosting free activities and workshops where families can learn skills they need to enjoy the great outdoors this summer.
Starting on June 8 and continuing through July 14, the shop will be home to kids craft activities such as designing compasses, making a fish bobber key chain, colouring a bracelet, designing a lizard door hanger and more.
Kids crafts will take place on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m.
From noon to 4 p.m. on the same days, the store will host free family summer camp workshops to teach the basics of camping, fishing, archery and hunting.
Other workshops include bird watching, wildlife exploration, water safety, backyard exploration about plants and insects and outdoor discovery showing the importance of conservation.
All workshops are approximately 20 minutes long.
The events will also include a free Field and Stream Summer Fun Guide booklet full of outdoor activity tips, ideas and product checklists to help you make the most of your summer adventures.
The Toyota Fatherís Day Sweepstakes will see a grand prize winner receive a two-year lease on a 2014 Toyota TundraSR5 double cab 4X2 truck valued at $16,800.
The events will also include other prizes.
