Household income threshold for AISH too low

Dear Editor,
I saw your article on AISH payments going up.
That is good but there is a large percentage of disabled people in Alberta who are unable to work and would like to contribute to the house hold income.
They can’t, because their spouses make $35,000 per year, driving their household income too high to qualify for AISH.
Families are told that if they want the full AISH amount, they must separate from their wife or husband.
