An Airdrie resident has been nominated for the title of North America’s Next Great Speaker.

Faith Wood, founder and CEO of Inspiring Minds Consulting Ltd., is asking Airdrie residents to vote for her from now until April 16.

Like Canadian Idol, the contestant with the most votes will find themselves on stage July 12 in Dallas Texas at the 12th Annual eWomenNetwork International Conference & Business Expo.

The North American Next Great Speaker contest awards a $100,000 prize package.

“To be one of three Canadians and one of 15 speakers in total chosen from over 1,100 speakers from North America is so exciting,” said Wood.

“I’m living my dream and getting a chance to inspire people to take action and stop living with regret and missed opportunities.”

Faith Wood is an accomplished speaker, entertainer, coach, trainer and author.

Once on stage on July 12, the semifinalists will have three-minutes to impress the judges, who will select three finalists to speak from the main stage for six-minutes on July 14.

The winner will be crowned on the final night of the four-day conference.

To vote for Wood, visit eWomenNetwork.com, register as an official online judge and check out access to all the 90-second videos for the 15 semi-finalists.
