Thank you, Airdrie Community Choir
Dear Editor,
I want to say thanks to the 47 members of the Airdrie Community Choir (ACC), their Artistic Director Paul Grindlay and accompanist Lori Dalcin, for the wonderful concert they put on (last) weekend.
We are privileged in this city to have a choir of this caliber, with people who sing for the love of music and give the rest of us the gift of listening to them.
It takes hours of hard work to put together a concert like this and the standing ovation the choir received hopefully made those hours worthwhile.
From classics like Ave Maria, to show tunes from Beauty and the Beast, to rousing spirituals and foot tapping Beatles tunes, to the haunting Dirait-on and King’s Irish Blessing, the program took us through a range of emotions and brought a lump to my throat more than once.
Well done ACC and here’s to many more years of song!
Lori Janzen-Wilde, Airdrie
