Message to the careless driver who almost hit someone
Dear Editor,
To the young woman in a white car who narrowly missed hitting me and my dog at 1st Avenue and Sagewood on May 13 at about 4:20 p.m. while we were legally in a crosswalk:
You are obviously a terrible, careless driver with no sense of social responsibility. You may be able to operate a cell phone, but I doubt you have any driving skills. Certainly, doing both is beyond your meager capabilities, so you have to choose which is most important and only do one at a time. The distracted driver law was brought in for stupid, irresponsible people like you. There were two witnesses to this incident and you are lucky that neither person got your license plate. If you saw us at all and had a momentary heartbeat, perhaps you should use it as a lesson. You are headed directly for an accident and you know, it will probably be some innocent party you hit. Regrettably, this kind of thing is all too prevalent.
