Urgent Care Centre open during Canada Day parade

Jun 28, 2012 01:28 pm | Dawn Smith

The Airdrie Urgent Care Centre will remain open during the Canada Day Parade, taking place on Main Street from 10 a.m. to noon.

Two access points, located at Allen Street and Main Street and First Ave. North and Main Street, will be manned by emergency responders who can provide a preliminary patient assessment and/or escort patients to the Urgent Care Centre.

The curb lane closest to the Urgent Care Centre, between 1st Avenue north and Allen Street, will be blocked off to pedestrians to ensure access to the health-care facility.

Residents are asked to keep this lane clear during the parade.

Airdrie Urgent Care is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., 365 days a year.

The facility is for people who have unexpected but not life-threatening health concerns that require same-day treatment.
