Airdrie Aces kick off Alberta Saucony series in Red Deeer

Scott Chalupiak brought home a bronze medal and Courtney Johnson narrowly missed the podium at the Airdrie Ace Track Club’s s first cross-country meet of the Alberta Saucony series. The race took place Sept. 15 in Red Deer. The team’s next race is in Leduc, Oct. 6.
Chalupiak placed third in the three-kilometre Grade 8-9 event, while Johnson took fourth in the Grade 6-7 race. See below for a full list of results.

Airdrie Storm
The Airdrie Storm bantam football team lost to the North Division-leading Calgary Cowboys Navy 58-30, Sept. 22. The Storm are in a three-way tie for second place in the North with the Calgary Hilltoppers and Calgary Cyclones, each with a 2-3 record. The Cowboys and the Cochrane Lions are both 5-0
The Storm’s next game is Oct. 6 against the Calgary Cowboys Grey. Game time is 5 a.m. on Shouldice Park’s Hellard Field.
