Airdrie Xtreme split weekend series with win against Oilers, loss to Golden Hawks

The Airdrie Xtreme came away from back-to-back weekend games with a win and a loss. It defeated the Okotoks Oilers 7-1, Oct. 13. Jordan McConnell scored a hat trick and Brandon Schuldhaus recorded a goal and an assist. Noah Philp and Jared Janke also had multiple point games.
The Xtreme took on the Lethbridge Golden Hawks Oct. 14 and lost 3-1. Andrew Fyten scored the team’s only goal with Barrett Sheen and Shaye Seefrid recording assists.
Airdrie Alumni
Ty Rattie scored four goals and added an assist in a 6-3 win over the Swift Current Broncos, Oct. 13. Rattie now has 12 points in 10 games and the Winterhawks are in second place in the WHL’s Eastern Conference with 15 points, two behind the Kamloops Blazers.
Zach Boychuk scored one goal and two assists in the Charlotte Checkers’ second regular season game, a 3-4 shootout loss to the Texas Stars, Oct. 14.
AC Avalanche
It was a winning weekend for the AC Avalanche. It defeated the CBHA Blackhawks 7-4, Oct. 13. Kris LeClair led the team in scoring with two goals, while Troy VanTetering recorded four assists. Chad Harrison had three assists, while Kyle Antochow and Andrew McLeod each had two points.
The team also defeated the NWCAA Bruins 5-4, Oct. 14. VanTetering has another multi-point game with a goal and two assists while Harrison added two more assists to his season point total. Jayden Gordon recorded one goal and one assist.
