Police searching for vehicle in connection with "suspicious" death
On Jan. 12, Airdrie RCMP began investigating the sudden death of a man members officers are calling suspicious.
RCMP officers found the man at around 3:30 p.m. at a house in east Airdrie.
Officers attended the residence to check on the man after receiving a request to do so from an unnamed source who asked police to check on the man’s welfare after not seeing him for some time.
Airdrie RCMP, as well as the Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Section are conducting an ongoing investigation.
An autopsy is scheduled for Jan. 15.
The deceased man’s identity has not yet been confirmed.
Police are asking for the public’s health in locating a purple, 1994 four-door Saturn SL2 with Alberta licence plate EGF 166 with the driver’s side rear quarter panel repainted in a different shade of purple.
The vehicle is normally associated with the house, according to an RCMP report.
No further information is being released at this time.
