Bert Church is Undeniable!
We are thrilled that a local school has shown their community spirit and won the Under Armour Finding Undeniable contest. (See story on page 1).
Bert Church High School beat out hundreds of schools across Canada to win $100,000 for their sports teams.
This is a true indication of what Airdrie residents of any age can accomplish when they come together and set their minds to something.
Students, teachers, administration, parents, local politicians and other citizens worked hard for the past four months.
The contest seemed to break down all kinds of barriers and bring the school together. Whether students were into sports, academics, art, or a rash of other interests, they worked together to make Bert Church stand out from the rest and earned every dollar of the prize.
This is just another example of how Airdrie residents come together when it counts.
Whether it is a charity, helping a local family in need, reviving a community event that has gone by the weighside or just helping a neighbour, residents volunteer their time and give their all to make the city the best it can be.
Congratulations to Bert Church students, staff, teachers and parents and thank you to all residents who voted in the contest to make sure local youth reap the benefits of their hard work.
It is undeniable, Bert Church High School stands out among educational institutes across the country.
