Re: “Snow Angela seem to have skipped Woodside Drive,” Dec. 5

Dear Editor,

As a resident of Woodside Blvd., I found this upsetting. snow angels are just that, people who have the time and can help out. Snow angels are not a snow removal company that are expected to clear out their neighbourhood.

These people work and have families of their own to look after. No one is responsible for taking care of your sidewalk, let alone your driveway. I have personally shovelled out mine and many of my neighbours’ sidewalks and even their driveways.

I have also helped push out neighbours stuck in their driveways and have done so for many years. I am not required to do this, but I do it when I can. If you are unable to take care of your own house due to your disability and your husband’s knee problems, you should maybe consider moving to a smaller place.

It’s not your children’s or neighbours’ responsibility to take care of your house. Maybe instead of looking and expecting everyone to drop their own stuff and come take care of you, you should try calling a snow removal company and pay for their service.

Jen Smith,

Airdrie
