2014 will be the Airdrie City View’s 11th year in print and we are looking forward to it.

Although the organization has seen a number of changes in the past decade, something that has been consistent is our goal to share stories with residents. We are privileged to be in a position to talk to all kinds of people from all walks of life, print their stories and deliver them right to your door.

From the brave Airdrie teen who stood up to bullies by bringing the idea of an anti-bullying bylaw all the way to City council to an entire community coming together to help those affected by the June 2013 flooding in Southern Alberta, we bring the stories that matter to residents.

We thrive on covering Airdrie City council meetings to spread the word about the decisions locally elected politicians are making on your behalf.

This year, our pages have included in-depth election coverage that gave you all the information you needed to make educated decisions about who you want representing you for the next four years.

In 2014, we will be moving forward with new and innovative advances. Watch for our new website that will be rolled out early in the year. It will be even easier to navigate with more options for resident feedback.

The New Year will also see Great West Newspapers implement the use of ultraviolet ink that will provide crisp and sharp colour images and do away with newsprint rubbing off on your fingers.

We appreciate you taking the time to read our publication and promise to continue to be your source for stories about the community for the community.
