Re: Senior doesn’t want organics recycling,” Jan. 2

Dear Editor,

I am another senior here living on a small fixed income and council wants to put their hands in my pockets again, so instead of raising the taxes to what they proposed the first time, they come up with another lame way to get our money. Like the last letter in here, I also use a garberator and barely have enough garbage for pick up each week.

The bins at the Home Depot site are constantly being filled so the people are recycling. When you come up with these ideas and just go ahead and pass them, it is wrong. Why was this not put on the ballets for everyone to vote on as it was not that long ago we were at the polling booths? Or did you councillors just pull this one from thin air to make up a money shortfall? I know it is very hard on a lot of seniors with less money coming in and always more going out. Think again, councillors.

K. Parkinson,

Airdrie
