Dear Editor,

I am concerned that City council is reviewing fines for iced over and snow covered sidewalks. It is unfortunate that not everyone has the ability or mobility to keep walkways clear regularly.

Instead of complaining or using government force we need to remember our Canadian identity and be a good neighbour. If you see a sidewalk uncleared and if you are able, clear it. Doesnít matter if itís not yours. Salt ice where you find it. You see it, you are now responsible for it. Additionally, wear proper footwear. Donít complain about ice and snow if youíre in high heels.

Nicole Limacher,
