Re: “Airdrie teen receives upsetting note, father frustrated with school’s response,” Jan. 23

Dear Editor,

I can only imagine how difficult the past year has been for you (Muriel Clayton student Morgan Tempeny) and your family. It grieves me to hear how cruel people can be.

I am happy to hear you did not keep this a secret and that you are strong and will rise above this. You are here for a reason, you are important, your life has meaning and a purpose, you are loved.

We all need to be reminded to treat others as we would want to be treated. Please do not believe the things in those letters. Whoever wrote them will regret it some day.

I believe it is good you left that school and your safety and well being are more important than your attendance there. Keep positive and don’t let them win. My thoughts are that people that do these kind of things are not happy with themselves and unfortunately put down other people to make themselves feel better. I am impressed with your boldness. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Stay safe, stay strong.

Bonnie Bricker,
