Airdrie Public Library (APL) is pleased to be able to partner with various organizations and agencies in Airdrie to bring a wide variety of programs to the community.
This winter, Alberta Health Services (AHS) is continuing its health and wellness series with two evening workshops for adults.
The first session, Aging Gracefully will take place on Feb. 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and addresses how to age with grace in a youth-obsessed culture, and offers steps to take to help age positively.
The second session, Relaxation and Meditation for Stress on March 18 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., teaches how to practice mindfulness and use relaxation to minimize stress.
While the workshops are free, online registration at
airdriepubliclibrary.ca is required.
For families, our regular Free Family Fun Saturday programs are sure to please this month.
The theme for Stories and Crafts on Feb. 8 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., is Valentine’s Day, which is always popular with children and parents.
Our French immersion program, L’heure du conte on Feb. 22 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., is celebrating La neige! – even though everyone may be somewhat tired of snow by then.
Teens can look forward to Teens in the Library, with gaming on Feb. 14 from 3 to 4:40 p.m., and activities (trivia and prizes) on Feb. 21 from 3 to 4:40 p.m., while tweens can Celebrate the Olympics at Tween Zone on Feb. 28, 3 to 4 p.m.
