As the weather appears to be conceding to spring-like temperatures, it’s just in time for thoughts to turn to Easter celebrations. Dust off your bunny ears and head down to Balzac Bass Pro Shop at CrossIron Mills mall in Balzac for the next two weekends for some free family fun.

“Bass Pro Shops believes special nostalgic events like Santa’s Wonderland, Family Summer Camp and the Easter event offers families ways to reconnect with life’s simpler times and create family traditions and memories to last a lifetime,” said Katie Mitchell, who does communications for Bass Pro Shops.

Bass Pro Shops has a long tradition of family-friendly events and has been hosting Easter celebration since 2009.

Enjoy free crafts for kids from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on April 12 to 13, and April 19 to 20, and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on April 18, while supplies last.

Grab your Easter baskets because the free Easter egg hunt, quite possibly the most anticipated Easter event for kids, will run for one hour only starting promptly at 2 p.m., registration for the hunt begins at 1:30 p.m. and is open to kids ages two to 10.

Like the Easter Bunny, kids are likely to jump for joy when they return to registration with five eggs and receive free candy.

The Easter Bunny himself will be stopping by to pose for a free 4x6 photo with the kids from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 12, 13, 19 and 20, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 14 to 17, and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on April 18.
