Whether you are renting or own your own home, renovating or just talking shop and connecting with local businesses, the 37th annual Airdrie Home and Lifestyle Show has something for you.

This year’s show runs April 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and April 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and features 149 exhibitors at 201 booths including 59 new exhibitors to the show.

There is also a free fine art market hosted by Airdrie Regional Arts Society.

“The show is not too big but not too small, it’s just right, “ said Marie Lauer, show manager of the Airdrie Home and Lifestyle Show.

The show will be held at Genesis Place and has vendors that are traditional favourites such as the Lioness home baked pies and the Blue Grass Garden Centre Rainbow play centre, but it will also feature newcomers selling jewelry, purses, clothing, yoga wear, skin products and stained glass.

Lauer said the show maintains Airdrie’s small-town feel where you will likely see friends and neighbours, but still offers big city amenities.

She said the show features experts in all things home-related including: air conditioning, bathtubs and showers, decking, interior decorating, flooring, landscaping, painting, roofing, window coverings and tinting, renovating, sunrooms, insulation and more.

The Airdrie Summer Games will have a booth to sign up volunteers to help with the event this July.

“We have a massive dog show this year,” Lauer said.

She added the success of the smaller dog show last year prompted the dogs to be a more prominent part of the show this year.

The dog show runs on the Talent Stage on April 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and on April 27 from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Also on the Talent Stage is a Jazzersize demonstration, local psychic medium Michelle Resnak, known as the Happy Medium, and a performance from Balzac band Pure Country. Also returning this year is performances from local dancers.

Admission to the show is $5 and children under 12 get in to the event for free.

With admission attendees are entered into the door prize draw and can win $1,000 from Canada Safeway.

“Come and get to know your community,” Lauer said.

“Whether you’re renting, own, building or renovating there is something there for you.”
