Easter has come and gone, complete with our usual snow/rain/cloud/sun, and everyone here at Airdrie Public Library (APL) is looking forward to a real spring.

With the growing season edging ever closer, APL is pleased to host popular authors Ian Wilson and Jacinthe Lavoie, who brought their special worldview to the library last year with the presentation of their book, Wildflowers of Banff Park. This year, Lavoie and Wilson will be sharing their new book, Wildflowers of Waterton Park, along with a colourful multimedia show of the best trails for wildflowers in Waterton. The entertaining Ė and free-of-charge Ė evening is set for May 15 from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Everyone is welcome; RSVP is requested.

For the younger set, this Fridayís Tween Zone is sure to entertain, too, with the theme of Giant Games. Tweens in grades 4 to 6 are invited to drop in between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. for games, crafts and fun with friends.

And for families, this weekendís Free Family Fun Saturday is Líheure du conte. Families are invited to drop by from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. for this French immersion program aimed at children in K-2. This monthís theme is Papillons et arc-en-ciel.

And donít forget Ends with a Lullaby April 29, 7 to 8 p.m., for an evening of rhymes, a bedtime story and a soothing lullaby. This is a great monthly program for families who canít make it to our daytime preschool literacy programs. For more information on APLís programs and services, visit, call 403-948-0600.
