Our club meeting was held April 7 at the Airdrie Agricultural Building, with an exciting agenda. We were off and running.

First off the members of Airdrie 4-H Beef and Sheep Club would like to thanks Rocky View County for the generous donation.

Sheep members gathered for Weigh Day at the end of March. The members worked together to help each other get animals from trailers into the barn, each animal was weighed, tagged and vaccinated. Working together was a lot of fun and the lambs all got a good start with halter breaking. Sheep grooming day is going to be held at the end of the month.

We all attended the Regional Sheep Clinic on March 30,2014.

Thank you to the organizers, presenters and members. The day was filled with lots of important information on a balanced feed ration, how to care for lambs, and basic fleece care and Showmanship skills.

Beef members along with their projects gathered at Soderglenís April 5 for Grooming Day. Along with the hard working members and presenters they enjoyed pizza for lunch.

Please put May 30 to June 1, on your calendar. 4-H On Parade happens at Stampede Park.

You will find 4-H members and their projects taking part in Showmanship, Judging and Grooming competitions.

June 1 is Sale Day, if you are interested in purchasing, call Jennifer at 403-226-0049.

If meeting new friends, reconnecting with old friends and outdoor fun is what you enjoy, donít forget to register for 4-H Summer Camps by May 15. See the 4-H website for the listing of all the upcoming camps and you can register online.

Do you have electronics or old tires you need to get rid of? We will pick up your unwanted electronics if you contact John at 403-702-5336 or for tire pick up call Bill at 403-710-7954.

We are looking forward to our Club Achievement Day being held May 10 and 4-H on Parade May 30 to June 1. Come out and see what 4-H is all about.
