Police ask for help in idetifying suspect in theft of electronics

The Airdrie RCMP is seeking the assistance of the public to identify a pair of suspects who stole more than $1,000 of electronics from the Market Street Shopper’s Drug Mart on April 22.
According to the RCMP report, two suspects, a man and a woman, entered the store on April 22. The woman distracted store employees, while the man stole a Toshiba laptop, a Playstation 4 and a pair of Beatz headphones.
The total value of the stolen items is $1,100.
One suspect is described as man with dark skin, in his 30s, approximately 5’8” and was last seen wearing a dark North Face T-shirt and a black hat.
The second suspect is described as a woman with tanned skin, in her 30s with a medium to heavy build and was last seen wearing a yellow sweater and black tights.

The Airdrie RCMP has arrested and charged two people in connection for fraud and possession of stolen property.
The property is believed to have been obtained through residential break and enters in Airdrie, Chestermere and Spruce Grove and was being sold online through the Kijiji website.
Peter Ashby, a 25-year-old man from Spruce Grove has been charged with six counts of possession of stolen property and six counts of fraud. He is scheduled to appear in court in Calgary on May 22.
Jessica Riley, a 22-year-old woman resident of Calgary has been charged with six counts of possession of stolen property, six counts of fraud and two counts of breach of probation. Riley is scheduled to appear in court in Calgary on May 12.
The majority of the stolen items have been recovered and returned to their rightful owners.
The RCMP would like to remind anyone purchasing items on online auction sites such as Kijiji to be aware of potentially purchasing stolen property.
