Dear Editor,

I would like to thank all you customers of mine that have supported my efforts to feed, cloth and heal the under-privileged in this world, whether it is here at home or across the oceans.

You have given generously through donating your refundables. Any donations that were picked up at your residences were 100 per cent given to charities either secular or faith-based charities.

Even my expenses were paid for by bottles I picked up at service stations and at random places - restaurants, ditches etc.

I am herewith informing all of you that I will discontinue this venture at the end of this year, as I am going to celebrate my 90th birthday in December of this year, and I am beginning to feel my age. (Iím no spring chicken any more).

Thank you for all your faithfulness over the past several years. I have truly enjoyed serving all of you. The approximate amount to date is well over $35,000 donated to 22 charities.

Anyone interested to see the list of charities and the receipts, can contact me at email or 403-945-1806.

If there is anyone out there in Airdrie that is interested and has a vision to help the poor and needy in this world, please contact me, as I will turnover this whole project to the right person, Ford Van and all at the end of this year.

Dave Loewen, Airdrie
