Virtual Style Station lets shoppers try on clothes without getting undressed

CrossIron Mills mall in Balzac has launched a new virtual change station that can be found in between Forever XXI and La Senza in the Ranch neighbourhood until June 30.

“Thanks to an interactive shopping module by lg2boutique, customers at CrossIron Mills can discover a whole new level of shopping,” said Neha Khare, marketing director of CrossIron Mills mall.

“Using clothes selected from a diverse range of retailers in CrossIron Mills, the Style Station gives customers the chance to mix and match tops, bottoms, accessories and shoes to see what it looks like on their silhouette.”

The objective is to make it possible for customers to “try on” articles of clothing from different stores in one place and see how it all fits together virtually, she added.

Thanks to Kinect Technology, users get the impression they are wearing the clothes they choose making the experience much more personalized, Khare said.

lg2boutique, is a branding studio within lg2 advertising agency offering a wide range of services including strategy, branding, design, packaging, publishing and graphic design that was founded in 2006.

Their clients include Agropur, Bell, Bor is, Desjardins, evenko and Maison Orphée.

“It’s an excellent way to find interesting combinations of clothes and then be able to go to the stores where the articles come from with a great idea of what you want to buy,” said Khare.

“Choosing the clothing is even easier and faster because the Style Station prints out the clothes selected along with a list of the places where they can be purchased.

“Even better, the Style Station experience gives users the chance to win fashion prizes including CrossIron Mills gift cards instantly.”

“It was important for us to create something that enriches the customer’s experience before they even get into the stores,” said Claude Auchu, partner, vice president, creative director, design at lg2boutique.

“The Style Station is a quick, fun way to discover the season’s latest trends, choose a wardrobe and see how it looks before you even try it on in the boutique.”
