The Airdrie Rotary Club wants to hear from local non-profit organizations that are looking for a small donation to help their group buy that much-needed piece of equipment or complete a project.

On June 10, the Airdrie Rotary Club will host a Dragons Den style lunch where local community groups come and give a five-minute presentation to the club about what their organization is looking for.

Rotary sets aside $10,000 each year for this event and they have had between seven and 10 groups come and pitch their ideas, but this year the number of presenters is down.

The Rotary Club will listen to all the presentations then discuss each proposal and vote on where they want to see the $10,000 allocated.

Rotary sponsors groups that are looking for equipment they canít afford or funding for a project they are trying to complete.

Clubs will get preference if the Airdrie Rotary Club gets some sort of recognition or plaque that can be displayed at the non-profit groups place of business.

The meeting takes place June 10 in the Rotary Room at Genesis Place Recreation Centre.

Everyone is welcome to have lunch and make their presentation. The groups will then be excused from the meeting where the club can discuss where they want to see the funds allocated.

If your group would like to do a presentation please send a short biography of your club and the presentation that you will be making with contact information to the Airdrie Rotary chair of the Dragons Den Dale Rathgeber at
