So what’s all the Hoopla?
Starting this month, Airdrie Public Library (APL) will be offering a range of entertainment through the new e-resource Hoopla. Hoopla offers instant access to movies, TV series, e-books, audiobooks and music albums for borrowing, streaming and downloading. The resource is compatible with computers, tablets and smartphones.
Along with blockbuster movies and best-selling books, Hoopla also has, according to its website, “an extensive catalog of educational materials, children’s titles, foreign films, and other hard-to-find content not offered anywhere else.”
There’s never a waiting list, as the material available to the library is unlimited, and there are never any late fees (materials are returned automatically at the end of the lending period).
APL members may access five downloads per month, and while having a huge collection from which to choose is great, the fact that it’s all free with your library card makes it the entertainment choice of the summer!
