These are words worth wearing!

Supporters of Airdrie Public Library (APL) can have fun this summer and make a fashion statement by sporting iconic and often out-of-print book covers on clothing and accessories.

Until Aug. 22, the community is encouraged to buy literary apparel and accessories online through Out-of-Print Clothing and 50 per cent of the proceeds will go to the Advocates of APL. Participation in the fundraising campaign is simple:

Step 1: visit

Step 2: Choose from the great online collection that includes T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, children’s shirts, baby onesies, phone covers, tote bags, pouches and jewelry.

Step 3: Proceed to checkout. While on this page, under Optional - Registration enter Referral Source: AIRDRIE (you must enter this code to support APL).

Support for this campaign will help build a brighter future for Airdrie Public Library and the community.

Airdrie Public Library also extends thanks to those who made our annual fundraising Canada Day barbecue such a success, including everyone who purchased a ticket, Volunteer Airdrie, Kumon, Mr. Sub, our volunteers, and, of course, Brian and Tracey Hauck, of The Butcher Shoppe.

For more information on the Out of Print Clothing fundraiser, the Advocates or the programs and services offered by APL, visit, or call the library at 403-948-0600.
