Additional charges laid in retail robberies
Crime: Charges in relation to incidents at two High River stores

Seven additional charges have been against people suspected to be involved in a string of robberies from retail stores in the Calgary area.
High River RCMP were able to use surveillance photos and forensic evidence to identify and charge one adult and two youths allegedly responsible for two offences in High River.
On Dec. 27 at 5 p.m., RCMP attended the Foothills Mobility store in High River, where four males allegedly entered the store and grabbed cell phones before fleeing on foot. In this instance, Kareeba Joseph, 19, and one youth have been charged with theft under $5,000 and mischief.
On Jan. 2 at 8:30 p.m., RCMP also attended the Mark’s clothing store in High River, where five males allegedly stole several articles of clothing before fleeing to a waiting car. In this case, Kareeba Joseph, 19, and two youths have been charged with theft under $5000 and mischief.
Kareeba is also facing several other charges relating to a series of thefts at cell phone stores in Okotoks and other communities in the Calgary area.
The two youths, who cannot be named, have been released from custody and will appear in Okotoks Provincial Court on Feb. 23 and Mar. 23.
Kareeba Joseph has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Okotoks Provincial Court on Mar. 2.
According to High River RCMP, the further charges were the result of collaboration between police agencies and the public.
