The seniorís supper at the Legion last Monday was, undoubtedly, the best meal I have ever had at our Legion.
The new chef is very professional and he can darn sure cook. As an addendum to that, I understand he is no longer at the Legion and things are in a bit of a turmoil.
I hear the first candidateís forum was very well attended. I will be attending the one being held at our Valley Neighbours Club this week and there will be one more on Oct. 10 at the Turner Valley School at 7 p.m.
Our Thanksgiving dinner catered to a full house and Duncanís roast beef was ďmelt in the mouthĒ good.
The silent auction was fun and the 50/50 was won by none other than our president. Watch for the Harvest Moon on October 5.
Never a dull moment in our little town. A black bear was photographed walking on the roof of St. Georgeís church last week. The comment I received was ďsure hope heís Anglican, we need more parishioners.Ē
