Vicars offers variety of options

Not all massage therapists are created equal. Not all massage schools are, either.

A good RMT has healing hands and technical knowledge, a balance that depends on the right education. MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy achieves that balance by combining a cutting-edge curriculum with a student-focused learning environment.

Vicars is one of the few massage colleges in the province to meet the national curriculum standard. This means graduates are in high demand by both clients and employers.

“Vicars is the school that I recommend the most,” says Kip Petch, RMT. Petch is one of Canada's leading sport massage therapists, and works with professional and Olympic athletes. “The last five or six therapists that I've hired have all been from Vicars. They're very well prepared. I endorse it wholeheartedly.”

But there's more to an outstanding education than what you learn in the classroom. Vicars is committed to creating a positive, meaningful school experience for its students.

The Vicars program is specifically designed for mature students who need to balance school with their work and family responsibilities. That's why they offer weekend-only, monthly, and once-a-week class options.

Students recognize the Vicars School difference even before they start classes. Vicars doesn't employ any hard sales tactics, and only accepts students who demonstrate a passion for the career.

“I was looking at different programs, and I felt that this program was the most accommodating to my needs,” says Neville Wright, who chose Vicars because it allowed him to go to school full-time while also training for the 2018 Winter Olympics. He will compete for Team Canada in bobsleigh at PyeongChang next year.

“I came in for more information, [and] there weren't any secrets, any hidden agendas. The openness, the honesty, and the admissions staff being straightforward about the program made my decision easy.”

Vicars School also offers continuing education, networking events, and other opportunities for graduates to stay connected to the school community once they've begun their careers.

    Classes begin in September.
