Beiseker residents may see a famous face or two in their neck of the woods next week.

According to a social media post from the Village of Beiseker, the popular and critically acclaimed television series Fargo will be filming some scenes in Beiseker for its upcoming fifth season between Feb. 27 and March 1.

Fargo is a crime drama set in Minnesota and North Dakota, based on the Coen brothers' 1996 film by the same name. The TV program is no stranger to Alberta, as the production filmed the first three seasons here between 2014 and 2017. The show's fourth season was produced in Chicago.

Some of the show's stars have included Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Ewan McGregor, Chris Rock, and Martin Freeman. Season five is set to star Jon Hamm, Juno Temple, and Jennifer Jason Leigh in key roles.

The Village's Facebook post indicated intermittent traffic control will be implemented at various points along Highway 9 throughout the duration of the production crew's stay.

All production vehicles will be parked on the private premises of Cartel Energy and the Centex gas station.

The filming schedule will include 12-hour days on Feb. 27 and 28, and an eight-hour day on March 1
