ORIGINAL STORY:

It's not even noon, and it's been a busy day already for Airdrie RCMP.

In addition to a trio of motor vehicle collisions on the Queen Elizabeth II this morning and a reported moose pair spotted in Big Springs, the detachment stated it is also investigating a missing cargo trailer that was reported stolen in Crossfield today.

"The cargo trailer was attached to a truck in a parking lot on Railway Street and Osler Avenue in Crossfield," a press release stated.

According to the RCMP statement release, unknown suspects detached the trailer from the truck, attached it to another truck and departed with it.

"The locked cargo trailer contained a resident of Crossfield’s household effects," RCMP stated. "The resident had their effects in the trailer as they were in the process of moving."

Personal documents, furniture, tools, a drum set, and two gun safes were contained within the trailer, and 18 firearms were locked inside of the gun safes.

RCMP are looking for the trailer, which is a black 2013 Pace American Cargo Trailer with an Alberta license plate of 4JW681
