According to the detachment's press release, the incident occurred at 12:34 a.m., when Airdrie RCMP and Airdrie Fire Department crews responded to a vehicle roll-over on Yankee Valley Boulevard, east of the Queen Elizabeth II Highway.

"A sports utility vehicle was travelling westbound when it left the road on the North side of Yankee Valley Blvd.," the release stated. "The vehicle rolled as it left the road way."

Airdrie firefighters were required to extract the driver from the vehicle, and the male driver and a female passenger were transported by ground ambulance to hospital.
