Mailing Christmas presents? Here are Canada Post’s parcel deadlines for Alberta

Tis the season to start thinking about mailing your Christmas parcels.
There have been mixed reaction to Canada Post’s community mailbox plan.

Canada Post has released its deadlines for Christmas parcel delivery.

Depending on where you live in Alberta, you have between 2 weeks and a month to send parcels and get them to Canadian destinations in time for Christmas.

General guidelines between major urban centres are as follows:

 

LOCAL

Regular Post: Dec. 19

Expedited Parcel or flat rate box: Dec. 20

Xpresspost :Dec. 21

Priority: Dec. 21

 

REGIONAL*

Regular Post: Dec. 14 - 19

Expedited Parcel or flat rate box: Dec. 18 - 20

Xpresspost: Dec. 21

Priority: Dec. 21

* Regions included with Alberta are British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario

 

NATIONAL

Regular Post: Dec. 8- 18

Expedited Parcel or flat rate box: Dec. 12 - 19

Xpresspost: Dec. 20

Priority: Dec. 20
