Plenty of Airdrie's high-school student athletes were in action on May 28 at the South Central Zones track and field championships, hosted at Foothills Park in Calgary.
Various Airdrie high schools were represented, including W.H. Croxford, George McDougall, St. Martin de Porres, and Bert Church. In addition, athletes also competed from École francophone d'Airdrie and Airdrie Christian Academy.
The zones meet acts as a qualifer for the Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA) provincial track championships, which will be held next weekend in Edmonton.
