The only place in the world where an irresponsible dog-owner can do whatever they want is in Crossfield.
Dogs bark – I get it. But allowing your dog to bark uncontrollably with absolutely no attempt to shut them up or train them to be quiet is rude, irresponsible, irritating, frustrating, wrong, and pig-headed.
There have been multiple studies throughout the world proving that beyond a shadow of doubt, crying babies and barking dogs are the most irritating sounds on the planet.
Now each owner on their own is definitely a problem, but it's the totality of the entire neighbourhood that's the real problem. Let's say there are 110 households in Vista Crossing. At least 80 have dots, and maybe – this is a huge maybe – nine or 10 are good, decent, responsible pet-owners, who have trained their dogs or at least taught them how to keep quiet. The rest, I quite simply cannot say the same.
You all know that once one dog starts barking, within 20 seconds, every dog within ear shot will be barking all at once. This happens throughout the day in Vista Crossing. But the worst times are between 5 and 9 a.m. and from 3 to 10:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Yes, most of the dogs only keep it up for 10 or 15 seconds, but at 10 to 20 times a day, you try and live like that.
