Nathan Cooper retains Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills seat

Ballots are still being counted, but as of 11:10 p.m., with 20 of 27 polls reporting, Cooper has mathematically secured enough votes to confidently retain the riding. He currently holds a healthy 11,174–2,529 lead over Cheryl Hunter-Loewen of the NDP. Cooper has 76.3 per cent of the votes in the riding.

Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills' incumbent UCP candidate Nathan Cooper will continue to serve the rural riding in the legislature, after winning the seat's election on May 29.

Ballots are still being counted, but as of 11:10 p.m., with 20 of 27 polls reporting, Cooper has mathematically secured enough votes to confidently retain the riding. He currently holds a healthy 11,174–2,529 lead over Cheryl Hunter-Loewen of the NDP. Cooper has 76.3 per cent of the votes in the riding. 

Others running in a fairly contested Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills include Katherine Kowalchuk of the Independent Party of Alberta, who is currently in third place, Cam Tatlock of the Wildrose Loyalty Coalition in fourth, and Judy Bridges of the Solidarity Movement of Alberta in fifth.

Shortly after 11 p.m., mainstream news broadcasters began to project another UCP majority government. The UCP currently leads or is projected to win in 52 of 87 ridings, while the NDP is leading or projected to win in 35 ridings. 

The UCP currently holds 637,018 votes compared to the NDP's 532,813 votes.
