After fierce public outcry over a proposed gravel pit in Bearspaw, Rocky View County (RVC) council voted to refuse the application on Feb. 3.

Airdrie Rural RCMP arrested a Calgary resident in Rocky View County on Jan. 26, after receiving a call about a motor vehicle theft in progress.

Positive case trends in Airdrie continue, as 11 recoveries have been reported bringing Airdrie's active case count to 58.

Following the retirement of Michelle Boyer at the end of 2020, Brook Swanson has been appointed as the Village of Beiseker’s new Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) coordinator – a role she said she has been interested in for some time.

A feline rescue organization in Crossfield is still on the hunt for a new facility. The Tails to Tell Animal Rescue Shelter Ltd., located at 1017 Hammond Ave. in Crossfield, is in need of a larger space to house its 45 rescued cats.
