When you visit Heritage Park, you step back in time. Let your imagination wander as you experience the progress of Western Canada unfolding right before your eyes. Chat with our costumed interpreters, who bring Heritage Park’s attractions and exhibits to life with great stories and demonstrations. Spanning Western Canadian history from the 1860s to the 1950s, you’ll experience our past presented in an immersive, unique experience.

One of our favourite weekends of the year is the annual Festival of Quilts, happening May 27 and 28. This colourful festival brings the quilting community together to share their latest creations and classic favourites. This year, Brandy Maslowski, a quiltmaker and textile artist who travels the world as a teacher, speaker and author, will also be presenting various workshops and lectures throughout the week including Your Mind Matters, a special lecture and trunk show on May 26 from 7:30 pm to 9 pm.

Later in the summer, Market Nights will return on Saturdays, offering the best in local, handmade artisan crafts. Thousands of people flock to the Plaza on Wednesdays for Music in the Plaza and there’s no better place to celebrate Canada Day and Heritage Day than at Heritage Park. There will also be special programming for National Indigenous People’s Day and Truth and Reconciliation Day in September.

For the date night experience, Captain’s Cruises will sail in July and August and Carnivàle will see the Park under the stars on September 15. Experience a night of enchantment and mystery and see the Park in a way you just don’t see every day. And for that upscale dining experience that you can’t get anywhere else, Lunch on the Riverforth Dining Car is always a special experience. Ride the rails around Heritage Park and enjoy a three-course lunch on one of the oldest dining cars in existence today.

With 127 acres, there’s a lot of fun to pack into a day at Heritage Park. Hop on the train or set off on a cruise, pan for gold or explore a mine, ride the midway or sit back and listen to stories of days gone by. And the best part? All this, and more, is included in admission! Plenty to discover and explore at Heritage ParkGet tickets online and plan your visit today.
