We need to keep the ceremony at the cenotaph

Resident wants the Airdrie Remembrance Day ceremony to stay at the Cenotaph.

Dear editor, I want to thank the man who stepped up and allowed us to have a touching moment of silence at the cenotaph monument, Nov. 11.

While many cities have indoor ceremonies, I am disappointed that organizers did not think to have a smaller ceremony outside at 11 a.m. for those of us that feel standing outside at the monument is an important part of the day. When I’m a little cold, and I’m shifting on my feet, my thoughts are turned to those who suffered in the cold so that I could whimper at a little frost. I hope next year there will be two ceremonies for those who prefer inside, and those who prefer to be at the monument dedicated to those who have served us.
