Man in collision involving semi south of Calgary dies in hospital

A man who received life-threatening injuries following a serious collision near Okotoks has died. 

The crash, involving a semi-truck and pickup, occurred on Highway 2 at 338 Avenue in Foothills County on May 2. 

Following the crash, a GoFundMe was set up for Neil Madden, who was airlifted by STARS to Foothills Hospital. 

The page describes Madden as a father, brother, uncle, grandfather, friend and dear co-worker. 

An update to the page said Madden passed away on May 11.  

The GoFundMe has raised more than $8,000 towards its goal of $10,000.
