The Langdon Older Kids (O.K.) Seniors Club is challenging the community to get healthy and active throughout the month of June.

The proposed changes presented to the trustees last week would see the new school as a conjoined junior and high school, with classes ranging from grades 7 to 12.

A competitive soccer player who hails from the hamlet of Langdon is relishing the opportunity to compete with and against some of Alberta's best players this summer, thanks to a new league that caters to the province's professional prospects.

Despite having no physical space open to the public yet, the Langdon Library has also sold about 100 new library memberships so far, and has opened its digital library and online collections to those members. 

A second ice sheet for the Indus arena has been on the books since at least 2007, and is listed in the RVC Recreation Master Plan as a priority for the County.

The school is set to open in September 2024 and has been planned as a junior-senior high school.

"There’s definitely a big nerdy community here in Langdon, so we’ll see how it goes.”

Two sisters and competitive hockey players from Langdon are basking in a career highlight, after winning a historic national U Sports championship as members of the Mount Royal University Cougars.

“We would really like to have new floors and a professional paint job but have to use that money for code items that we were unaware of and can’t open without,” she explained in a Facebook post.
