“We would really like to have new floors and a professional paint job but have to use that money for code items that we were unaware of and can’t open without,” she explained in a Facebook post.

The Langdon Robotics teams usually have between 12 and 20 students from grades 4 to 8 who take part in the extracurricular activity each school year.

The town hall will be held at Sarah Thompson School, located along 4 Street NE in Langdon, this Thursday at 6 p.m.

The County intends to build a new $32 million recreation centre on the east side of Mowat Street, which cuts through the middle of the lands in question. 

The two Langdon-based teens are products of the Strathmore Venom Lacrosse Association and current members of the HOKS – a combination of the best midget (U18) lacrosse players from High River, Okotoks, the Calgary Knights, and Strathmore.

Rocky View County’s (RVC) Recreation Governance Committee has approved the business plan for the future $32 million recreation centre in Langdon. The approval came at the committee’s Feb.

Langdon residents will be able to get some face-time with their local government representative later this month. On Jan. 31, Rocky View County Division 7 (Langdon) Coun. Al Schule will be hosting a public open house to answer residents questions.

Langdon residents will have to drive to Chestermere or Strathmore in early 2023 if they want to pick up a package or drop off a parcel to mail, as the hamlet is set to lose their local post office at the end of the month.

“It’s a really joyous occasion to get everyone together to celebrate what the students are performing and doing,” Hansen said.
