The Airdrie Over 50 Club recently held acrylic and watercolour painting classes, the products of which now adorn some of the public spaces throughout town.
The painting class was put on by Phylis Pits and Jo-Anne Rogers. After learning the basics of the craft, members of the club painted 54 rocks, which they have since hidden throughout Airdrie's public spaces. Their intention is for the colourful rocks to be found, and that the discoveries bring the finder luck and joy that day.
Club members also painted a special rock to show appreciation toward the local Airdrie RCMP detachment and their dedication to serving the community.
