Airdrie Public Library (APL) launches its biggest fall program lineup yet Sept. 9.

New programs for adults include an online book club and the one-off Travel to Save Your Life event to help plan and enjoy your dream vacation.

We also have the regular financial literacy and community wellness series, along with writers’ workshops by Nancy Bell, three adult craft nights and two ART Saturdays.

For teens, we’ve added a Dungeon and Dragons group and a teen-only DIY video games maker night.

Regular programs, like Teen Gaming, Teen Write Night, ART Saturdays, and the Library Whisperers, are also available.

Tween Zone, for ages nine to 13, leaps into full gear on Fridays with DIY projects, crafts and gaming.

Also for this age group, After School @ APL continues with robotics, coding, LEGO, STEAM and more.

Families can look forward to a parade of literacy-focused activities, including Craft Crew, Pumpkin Palooza, Star Wars Reads Day, Snowflake Follies and Sunday Cinemas.

Regular preschool programs include Babytime; ToddlerTime; Night Owls; Sing, Read, Rhyme, and Play; Rhymes and Songs; and Creative Hands and Minds.
Sensory Storytime and Wiggle Wednesday are picking up again this fall, and we’re continuing Saturday’s League of Super Dads and Family Storytime.

We also have two children’s and two adult authors lined up: Benjamin Sures and Georgia Graham for the children, and Joy Norstrom and Mike Thorn for the adults.

For more information, call APL at 403-948-0600, go online to airdriepubliclibrary.ca, or visit the library for your free library card.
