Students at Cooper's Crossing School in Airdrie celebrated Earth Day by learning about earth systems.
Geologist Greg Pavin from the Alberta Science Network set up multiple presentations throughout the day where students could learn about rock formations and more. Pavin specializes in fossils, covers earth's history, dinosaurs, wind, rain, glaciers, and more.
While the grade three students studied rocks, grade four students finished watching the movie Wall-E and then got busy building robots from recycled materials. Wall-E is an animated movie about a robot who spends his days cleaning the earth after humans left it uninhabitable.
