Airdrie Public Library held a very special event on Friday night.
The Knights of Rizal Airdrie Chapter signed a certificate of partnership commemoration with APL, securing the naming rights for a room in the new library facility.
The Philippine Consul General Zaldy Patron also presented books in both English and Tagalog on the Philippines and on the Knights of Rizal founder, Dr. Jose Rizal. Besides Patron, in attendance were the Airdrie Chapter Commander Mark A. Quintin, Knights of Rizal chapter representatives from Airdrie and Calgary, Mayor Peter Brown, Deputy Mayor Tina Petrow, APL Board Chair Daniel Nelles, APL Director Deb Cryderman, APL staff, and Keill and Co representatives.
