Nose Creek Valley Museum

Visit the vibrant history of Airdrie.  Since 1988 we have been sharing stories of the Nose Creek Valley’s rich heritage, covering Crossfield to Balzac and further.

Our mission is to take all visitors on a journey through time, by way of exploration and discovery.

Many school children received their first taste of local history through our School Tour Programs.  These programs are led by dedicated docents who help the students explore the history of their home.  We can accommodate tours for other groups as well, ranging from companies engaging in Team Building activities to Senior’s Groups and ESL students.  We are excited to work with others in developing new programs and all tours can be tailored to suit specific requirements.

There are others who have had the excitement of exploring our travelling collections in the comfort of their classroom.  These collections of hands-on objects are available on loan to schools and other organizations.  In addition to our original “Travelling Trunk” we have a geology kit, “Have Rocks, Will Travel”, a Remembrance Day focused collection,” In Remembrance” and a camera collection, “Picture Perfect” that can be borrowed, all at a nominal charge.

In the community, the Nose Creek Valley Museum can be found attending a variety of community events.  Catch up with us as we are out and about in the community.  We are always searching for a fresh way to connect with our community.
