The Airdrie Pro Rodeo held the 2024 Miss Rodeo Airdrie Competition and Crowning at the Town and Country Centre on May 25. The evening, which also featured a Wild West Fashion Show, culminated in the crowning of the new Airdrie Pro Rodeo Princess.
Georgina Gardner, Kyla Lightfoot, and Tiffany Hiller had been competing for the Airdrie Pro Rodeo crown since the start of May. The three girls participated in a written exam, personal interviews, and horsemanship trials as part of the crowning competition--culminating in the Wild West Fashion Show. After a nearly month-long competition, a three-member panel of judges selected Kyla Lightfoot as the 2024 Miss Airdrie Pro Rodeo Princess.
Lightfoot will take over the crown from two-time Miss Rodeo Airdrie Hannah Braun, who held the title from 2022 to 2023. Lightfoot will assume the duties of Miss Rodeo Airdrie, which include representing Airdrie Pro Rodeo and the City of Airdrie at over 100 events for the next 12 months, at the Airdrie Pro Rodeo at the end of June.
