Desi’s Vibes in Airdrie has been shut down by Alberta Health Services (AHS) after it was found to be operating without a valid and subsisting food handling permit from AHS.
The Airdrie food establishment located in the neighbourhood of Cooper's Crossing was closed on Friday, April 19, according to the Calgary Zone Health Enforcement Orders website.
The closure order directed the restaurant owner to immediately close the premises and take down all advertisements, as well as obtain a valid food handling permit from AHS before it is allowed to open again.
"The above conditions were noted at the time of inspection and may not necessarily reflect all deficiencies," the order stated. "You are advised that further work may be required to ensure full compliance with the Public Health Act and regulations, or to prevent a public health nuisance."
As of April 22, Google stated the restaurant, which appears at a residential home, is permanently closed.
