The Cochrane RCMP is asking for more local victims of a notorious alleged Calgary fraudster to come forward

In 2020, Cochrane RCMP investigated and charged 50-year-old Scott Phillip Brooks, a resident of Calgary, after a number of individuals informed police of the loss of more then a million dollars over the course of a number of years. Brooks was charged with the following and the matter is before the courts, including 17 counts of fraud, four counts of identity fraud, money laundering, fraudulent registration of a title, issuing misleading receipts and disposal of property to defraud creditors.

Cochrane RCMP believe that there may be more victims. If you have put your trust in Scott Phillip Brooks in relation to an investment opportunity, Cochrane RCMP would like to hear from you.

Have you been approached by someone you know and trust or introduced to a third party by someone you know or trust through a club, a team or a place of worship about a time sensitive high yield investment opportunity?

The promise of the return of initial investment plus interest and a substantial bonus involving the sale of real property such as motor vehicles, used pipe, or intellectual property such as a pending patent … sounds great!  If it sounds to good to be true it might be a FRAUD … do your homework and research before you part with your money.  Individuals who commit these types of FRAUD have put a significant amount of effort into developing background stories and false documents to legitimize their story.
